My Omen 16 that I purchased on June 2023 (China Version) went black screen. Right now the laptop won’t turn onI don’t know what to do, I am currently in Japan, but don’t know if I can go to the HP service center in Japan or not. Can I have a Japanese repair center test it for me for the return of the product in China?

Hi @LIQU,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your Omen 16 is experiencing a black screen and won't turn on, and you’re in Japan, here are some steps you can take.
Check the Power Supply: Ensure that the laptop is plugged into a working power outlet. Verify that the power adapter and cable are connected properly and not damaged.
Perform a Hard Reset:
- Disconnect the power adapter and any external devices.
- Press and hold the power button for about 15-30 seconds.
- Reconnect the power adapter and try turning the laptop on again.
Check for Indicator Lights: Look for any indicator lights or sounds when you try to power on the laptop. This can help determine if the laptop is receiving power or if there might be another issue.
Test with an External Monitor: Connect your laptop to an external monitor to see if there’s any display output. This can help identify if the issue is with the screen or the internal components.
Reseat Components: If you're comfortable opening up your laptop, you can try reseating the RAM and SSD. Sometimes loose components can cause boot issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
