I've had my Omen 16 b0000 for 4 days now and really liked it, everything was running perfectly up until now, as you would expect from a new computer of this calibre.

 

About 4 hours ago I launched a game (Victoria 3) I noticed severe audio cracking for the first time and FPS between 5-10.

I then launched Red Read Redemption 2 and got the same problem.

I restarted by computer to find that the audio cracking and lag was a system wide problem. Startup is taking longer than usual and the welcome jingle is affected by audio cracking. Startup BIOS jumped from 4secs to 12 secs.

Resting CPU usage has increased slightly ~15%.

Fans are sounding slightly strange.

 

All applications affected by audio cracking. Games that ran flawlessly a few hours ago are running at 5-10 FPS.

Commands generally unresponsive.

 

I have run all system diagnostics, which all say my system is healthy when it obviously isn't. I have HP Care Pack. It's too late to contact support but will do first thing tomorrow
