Hi @EUlurker, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry to hear about the trouble with your Omen 16 laptop. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot and potentially fix the issue:
Perform a Hard Reset:
- Disconnect all external devices (USBs, external monitors, etc.).
- Unplug the power adapter.
- Press and hold the power button for about 15-30 seconds to discharge any residual power.
- Plug the power adapter back in and try turning on the laptop.
Check the Power Supply and Charging Port:
- Ensure the power adapter is functioning properly by testing it on another compatible device or using another adapter with your laptop.
- Inspect the charging port for dust, debris, or physical damage that could impact power delivery.
Reseat the RAM:
- If you're comfortable opening your laptop, try removing and reseating the RAM sticks. Sometimes, a loose connection can cause issues.
BIOS Recovery:
- Turn off the laptop.
- Press and hold the Windows Key + B.
- While holding those keys, press and hold the power button for 2-3 seconds, then release the power button while continuing to hold the keys for another 20 seconds.
- If the BIOS recovery screen appears, follow the instructions.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
