What are the dimensions of the thermal pads that i should use for my laptop i've replaced the thermal paste without replacing the thermal pads and the old pads have dust on it

You need Thermal Grease part #  L65268-001 which is N/A from HP Part store. You may want to keep or bookmark the following link for future references:
