My hp Omen 17-ck2001nq has a non responsive touchpad. Neither in bios or windows.

At first it started clicking randomly or registering swipes randomly, afterwards is stopped working.

I have contacted a HP service to be server the answer that "possibily" because i used liquid metal on the CPU and GPU it has damaged the touchpad. From a component perspective they have not analized anything. The laptop works perfectly otherwise.

I would like to know if there is a chance a authorized hp repair shop exists that can actually repair the laptop other than swap components.

Thank you

Here is the parts list for the 17-ck2000 series and a touchpad ribbon cable is mentioned and pictured.

You can verify the parts list by entering your serial number instead of the model ID.

If the ribbon cable is damaged then replace it.  If the (PCB) connector is damaged, that  is a motherboard problem and you are unlikely to find a replacement connector.  A USB trackpad would be the best solution in that case.

I assume the touchpad fails during UEFI diagnostics.
