OMEN Laptop - 15-en0006na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi all,

I received a replacement omen today (OMEN Laptop - 15-en0006na - AMD Ryzen 4800; 1660ti). The previous laptop fan noise was unbearably loud and i'm trying to figure out if i'm having the same issue with the new one.

When browsing the temperature sits at around 50 degrees celsius with the charger in (gets to 70 when starting up).  If I take the charger out the temperature drops to 40C. The issue is that with all the games i've tried the fan noise instantly becomes very loud and temperature quickly reaches 80C (not high intensity games - just fortnite; planet coaster, Sims). I have tried all troubleshooting options - updating bios, updating battery power settings and setting performance to comfort. I've also tested all the hardware.

With the previous laptop the fan was loud even when not gaming so at least this one is a little better. That one also had a broken brightness button... I'm really not sure if i'm just being sensitive or if the new one is faulty.

Does anyone know if the temps seem to be an issue and/or how I can get the fan noise down? Any help you could give me would be appreciated.

Thanks!
