HP ax-209-na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

As the subject title says the track pad's right click only works on the right hand quater, not split 50/50 like on other pads.

I found one other person with the same issue but they were directed to a document about gesture's and pad sensitvites but nothing on the clickers.

Is this just standard on this machine or is it an issue that can be fixed? Left clicking something I right clicked is getting annoying and having to constantly look down to see where I'm clicking so it's specifically in the far right is not the £1000+ expirence I want to be having...

I've done the point and also the drag test on the start up screen and both passed. The pad seemed to respond normally in those tests aka 50/50 but now it's the same as before.

Hi,

You should be able to extend the right click area of the touchpad as follows.

Open windows Control Panel and in the top right, next to View by: select 'Large Icons'.  From the new layout, select the Synaptics entry.

Expand the 'Clicking' option by tapping the arrow just to the left of the checkbox.

You should hopefully see the option 'Right Button Zone' appear - tap this once to highlight the entry and then click the setting cog to the right.

In the following window, the area in Green denotes the area of the touchpad alloted to the right click function - drag the box until it covers 50% of the touchpad width - see the image below.

Click on Close in this window, then Apply and Ok in previous window to save the new setting.

Thank you so much!

I tried calling HP support after my post and they had no solution, they said just to buy a mouse...

Thank you for an actual solution 🙂
