Please devise a way to disable/temporarily-remove Omen Cam & Voice since that's causing an issue with hirepro and similar websites.
These exam centers do not allow multiple cameras and require us to uninstall these software. If there was a way to temporarily make them unusable and not get detected in a reversible and safe way, that would be great!
I have an Omen 16 xf0060ax

Hello,
To safely disable Omen Camera and Voice without uninstalling:
- Open Task Manager → Disable any Omen-related startup apps.
- Services (Windows + R → services.msc) → Locate HP/Omen services and set them to Manual or Disabled.
- Device Manager → Right-click the Omen Camera under Imaging Devices and choose Disable device.
- Apps & Features → If needed, uninstall Omen Audio Control or Omen Camera temporarily, then reinstall after the exam.
This avoids detection while keeping your system intact. Re-enable everything post-exam easily.

Hello Govefaw,
Thanks a lot for your reply. I tried the options you gave out, and I have shared my observations below:
> Task Manager → Disable any Omen-related startup apps.
Already disabled, but it still launches automatically
> Locate HP/Omen services and set them to Manual or Disabled
No services with the name starting with Omen
Many services with their names starting with HP
Only one service with their name containing Omen
Even after stopping this service, Omen Cam & Voice is available as an option on webcamtests.com
> Device Manager → Right-click the Omen Camera under Imaging Devices and choose Disable device.
Cameras has only one device (even after enabling show hidden devices).
However, Sound, Video and game controllers section had Omen Cam & Voice.
Disabling it here does not affect anything, the browset is still able to detect it and use it.
> Apps & Features → If needed, uninstall Omen Audio Control or Omen Camera temporarily, then reinstall after the exam.
Here only OMEN Gaming Hub is available, and uninstalling it finally removed Omen Cam & Voice.
But is this your final answer? If yes, I'll mark your message as an answer.
