OMEN by HP Laptop 15-dc0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My OCC stopped working the other day.

Whenever I boot up, I get a message saying that "This app can't open. Go to the App Store."

I've gone to the app store and installed it from there. I've tried reinstalling it from the drivers section.  Still broken.

Help!

Thanks in advance, y'all!

Greetings!

Welcome to the HP Community. This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries. I have reviewed your post and I understand, you are getting an error about "This app cannot be open".

Don't worry, I'm here to help!

Let's try these steps -

Step 1 Sign-out from the Windows Store -

Open the Windows Store app. > Click on the account logo in the upper-right corner of the app, then click on your account name. > Click on your account name in the new box, then click Sign out.

Step 2 Reset the Store Cache -

Click Start, then type "wsreset" and select wsreset. > When the Store app opens, see if your downloads are working.

Step 3 Run Windows Update troubleshooter -

Please refer to this link for the download. Restart the computer and then-then test the Store app.

Step 4 Reset Windows Update -

1) Click Start, then type "services" and select the Services desktop app.
2) Find the Windows Update service, right-click on it, then select Stop.
3) Next, open File Explorer and navigate to the C:\Windows directory.
4) Right-click on the SoftwareDistribution folder, then rename it to SoftwareDistribution.OLD or any name of your choosing.
5) Go back to the Services app and restart the Windows Update service.
6)Test your Store downloads.

If the issue still persists, try uninstalling the Omen Command Center and re-install it from this link.

Let me know how that goes.
