Hp Omen 17-cb1521na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Brand new laptop from the store.  Been unable to open Omen Gaming Hub since doing all updates. (was Omen Command Center).  All windows updates are done.  Uninstalled quite a few times and reinstalled and does not change a thing.  Just sits there and hangs going through its animation but never starts.  All updates from HP support assistant have been completed with no change.

I bought a new laptop to get away from problems like these arrggg

ok solved this myself with no help from HP.

Got Omen Gaming hub to work by removing Zone alarm i had installed.

Anyone going down the rabbit hole of uninstalling the reinstalling Gaming hub and HP system event utility...its a nightmare.

Only version of HP system event utility that worked  and installed the correct version and not the UWP version was from this thread.

and follow the last solution.  For some reason the HP system event utility doesn't come up when you search for it. However if you know the direct link its there.  here it is directly

Further to the last. I updated all optional updates. Forced an update check and nothing .

Used Revo uninstaller to remove Omen Gaming Hub and associated files .Did a reboot and then reinstalled Omen GH.

Still the same result
