OMEN by HP 15-dc1046no
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

After i reinstalled windows, Omen Gaming Hub has not let me use the Performance Control. I need the performance control so that i can get enough performance to play heavier games at decent frame rates. My laptop is an Omen 15 2018 with RTX 2060 and intel i5 9th gen. when i click update (when it says i dont have the package), it stops downloading at around 79-80 percent and says it failed to download. Is there a way to download it from the web instead of the app??

Hi @MikkelFlem,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're encountering a message stating that you don't have the correct "OMEN SDK Package" when using HP Omen Gaming Performance Control, it likely indicates that the software is expecting a specific software development kit (SDK) package to be installed on your system to properly function. This SDK package might contain necessary components, drivers, or libraries that the HP Omen Gaming Performance Control software relies on to communicate with your hardware and provide the intended performance control features.

Here are a few steps you can take to address this issue:

  • Check for Updates: Ensure that both the HP Omen Gaming Performance Control software and any related drivers are up to date. Manufacturers often release updates that address compatibility issues and bugs. You can visit the official HP support website and search for the latest version of the HP Omen Gaming Performance Control software.
  • Download Correct SDK Package: It's possible that the SDK package required by the software wasn't properly installed or is outdated. You might need to download and install the correct SDK package from HP's official website. Search for the OMEN SDK Package specifically for your model of HP Omen gaming device. Make sure you're downloading it from an official and trusted source.
  • Uninstall and Reinstall: Sometimes, uninstalling the existing software and then reinstalling it can help resolve issues related to missing components. Make sure to follow proper uninstallation procedures and then download a fresh copy of the software from the official source.
  • Check System Requirements: Ensure that your system meets the minimum system requirements for running the HP Omen Gaming Performance Control software and any associated SDK package. Sometimes, compatibility issues can arise if your hardware or operating system doesn't meet the necessary criteria.
  • Update Operating System: Ensure that your operating system is up to date with the latest updates and patches. Sometimes, an outdated OS can cause compatibility issues with newer software.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
