Hi guys,

So I have an Omen T14 and Hyper X Cloud 3s headset which are supposed to connect by instant pairing.

Apparently The headset is supposed to have an Omen mode. When I double tap the power button it doesn't do anything. When I turn the headset on it says "Connected to adapter" but the Ngenuity software says nothing is connected. Buuut if I turn off the headset the Hyper X internal adapter will disappear then reappear. Like its refreshing itself. So its like they are talking to each other but not nicely... Does anyone have any idea. I tried to talk to Hyper X but they just told me to use the USB dongle...which was the reason I bought the headset to not have to use it. Thanks

Hi @speedy87,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused don’t worry let me help you.

To better understand the issue, could you please provide a few more details?

  • Are you running the latest version of OMEN Gaming Hub and HyperX NGENUITY software?
  • Which operating system and version are you using on your Omen T14?
  • Have you noticed if the headset works normally when paired via the dongle, or is the issue only with instant pairing?

In the meantime, here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

  1. Update Firmware & Software
    • Make sure both your Omen T14 and HyperX Cloud III headset have the latest firmware updates.
    • Update OMEN Gaming Hub and NGENUITY to the newest versions.
  2. Reset Pairing Mode
    • Power off the headset completely.
    • Hold down the power button for about 10–15 seconds to reset pairing (some models require this to clear old connections).
    • Then try the double-tap again to activate Omen Mode.
  3. Check Bluetooth & Adapter Drivers
    • In Device Manager, uninstall and reinstall the HyperX adapter drivers.
    • Ensure your Bluetooth drivers on the Omen T14 are up to date.
  4. Test on Another Device
    • If possible, try pairing the headset with another Omen device or PC to confirm whether the issue is specific to your T14.

I hope this helps.
