Omen X 2S
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I really enjoy my Omen X 2S with the 240Hz main screen. Gaming is super smooth.

But if I use the advertised screen mirroring function of the 2nd screen, the main screen instantly reverts and locks to 60Hz. When I turn the mirroring function off, I got 240Hz again on the main screen. This is always the case, within games and at windows applications. Easy to check with ingame FPS counter or with the Hz calculator at https://www.testufo.com/refreshrate

I got the feeling that this could be something that has been oversighted in the drivers while inventing this machine initially with 60Hz main screen panels only and not implementing the higher refresh rate panels afterwords in that Omen Command Center drivers (using 9.3.8.0 version) for the 2nd screen mirroring function.

Does anyone have an idea or solution to this problem?

I want to play my games of course with the high refresh rate on my main screen with the mirroring function enabled and not being locked at 60Hz because of it, thats no fun. This somehow renders the advertised mirror gaming function of this expensive machine useless 😞

Thanks in advance!

@Driftminister, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

What is the refresh rate on the 2nd screen?

Mirroring only works with the same refresh rate if the 2nd screen supports it too, else, it would switch to the refresh rate supported by the 2nd screen alone.

Let me know how this goes.
