Hello, 
 
My girlfriend bought a laptop Omen by HP 15-dc0021nc and in a dark room the LED goes on from behind under the OMEN logo but not lighting at all. via attachment.OMEN.jpg
 
is it all right? or it is a defective piece ?

Welcome to the HP Support Community. This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries. I have reviewed your post and I understand, there seems to be an issue with the LED lights. 

 

Don't worry, I'm here to help! 

 

OMEN by HP - 15-dc0021nc does not support the "Chassis Lighting". It is only supported by OMEN X Compact Desktop PC - P1000-xxx and the  OMEN X by HP 17-apxxx Notebook. You may refer to this document to know more.

After review, I found that the defect only occurs when the monitor brightness is set to the maximum. There are several red dots which blink in the dark through the plastic via photo. Several people told me that this defect is normal.

 

So, is it?
