Omen by HP laptop 15-ce0xx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm currently doing an internship at a company for my education.  Im living in the netherlands

But since im at the company this happens every day multiple times when im doing my work :

When I touch the case of laptop I feel a static shock and then the computer shutdown immediately . The screen turns black  completely.

At home, it happens not very often ( once in 2 weeks or more ). at the Company it happens 3 times a day.

This video shows completely the same issue i have : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SMPReyKN1vM

(Laptop looks the same as mine, not completely sure because i dont know if there are multiple laptops with same look)

What can i do to fix my laptop because i can't work like this !?

Hello @thomasvandeweg

How long ago did you purchase the laptop as I assume this condition has been happening since new, yes?

Are you still under warranty?

There was a recall of certain models of the 15-ce0xx series with certain serial numbers that had a missing ground wire in the case. It sounds like yours could be one of those.

Contact HP Support for a warranty issue and they will fix it.

IF you are no longer in warranty, I dont know if HP will help or not. Let me know.

You should have no issues with Support then.

Good luck.
