Omen 15-dc0000
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi there,

Omen command center not showing lightning option.

OCC is installing only from Microsoft Store but failing from latest HP installer.

When HP Installer is executed it restarts the computer and after the restart, only the fans are boosting eagerly for a while and then nothing happening.

Omen button also not launching the OCC.

Windows 10 pro 64bit / not activated
version 1903
build 18362.145
HP Omen 15-dc0000

Anybody with the same or similiar issue?

OK thanks.  Looks like you have installed Windows 10 pro as your model only came with FreeDos.

1.The Omen Command Center (OCC) will only install from the Windows Store. That is how you get it.

2. The link from the HP Drivers page (OMEN Command Center SDK Package) is only a needed file to allow the system to work with the OCC. It is not the command center itself.

3. Your model only came with a 2-zone lighting backlit keyboard. You would need the 4-zone keyboard to get lighting options. That is why nothing shows up in the OCC for lighting.

4. The Omen key not launching the OCC is a glitch that HP apparently cannot fix. Everyone is experiencing this, I'm sorry. It will still operate the Home key if you press the fn key first.

Is this what you needed to know?

@grandeto

dc1000 is the series. I need the exact model. To get that, find the Product Number in the HP Support Assistant.

Go to Windows Start menu and navigate to H / HP Help and Support / HP Support Assistant and run it.

The Product Number will be at the bottom of the window.

Yes, in most ways this was what I needed to know.

One more thing. Is it possible to adjust the keyboard lightning power?

HP Recommended

With the 2 zone (all red) lightning, its either on or off unfortunately.
