Hello @MrHarsh

Sounds like a faulty charger. Your best solution is to contact HP Support directly for a warranty issue.

That is, unless its so new, you could return it for an exchange at the store you purchased from.

Thanks for your reply @Photoray002,

But there is one more concern.I have noticed sometimes that after my laptop is fully charged to 100% at that time if there is a power cut in my house then laptop suddenly gets switched off seems like battery was disconected automatically which is a problem because when I remove my power cord then its keep running on battery which shows that the battery is working fine but if there is a power cut then it suddenly shutsdown which should not happen atlest in a new laptop please help.

That is strange and Im not sure what is happening when that occurs. There might be a power surge when it cuts, causing the laptop to trip perhaps.

If your area is prone to power drop outs and surges, you might do well to invest in a UPS battery backup. They will offer more protection from surges than what a laptop can on its own.

i would explain this to the support agent when doing the warranty routine. They will need both the laptop and charger to test when doing the warranty claim. it might be something wrong in the power board of the mothterboard, rather than the charger also.

Thankyou soo much,

Could you please explain it to support agent ASAP as he is visiting tomorrow for the warranty routine with a new adapter to replace it if you could explain it to him it would be a big help as its a new laptop and this is a big problem may be due to faulty product.
