So I've had this laptop since 2016 and it's worked fantastic until this year. A lot of games it should be able to run have no longer been running as well, or even at all. Even games that used to work just fine, or games I meet/exceed all the minimum specs for aren't running at the lowest settings. some examples of this are For Honor, R6S, Sea of Thieves, Titanfall 2, Deep Rock Galactic, COD Modern Warfare, and Gunfire Reborn. All these games (except codmw) used to get upwards of 45 fps, and now it's been about 30 and under, on the lowest settings. A lot of these games become unplayable too occasionally, getting kicked from matches for not having the minimum of 30fps, or simply crashing. I don't have anything malicious, I've checked extensively, and there's no issues memory, storage, or disc wise, and I even have 16 gigs of ram. Benchmarks say it's underperforming compared to 75% of others running the same hardware, so if anyone has tips, things to check, or just general advice for building or buying a new machine (I know right now is the w o r s t time to buy gpu"s) I would appreciate it.
