Omen i7
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought my Omen machine in June of this year.

This morning I noticed a hard bubble on the track pad. It's definitely not air.

Additionally I have noticed that the panel surrounding the keyboard have started showing hairline cracks running all the way down from the top of the panel, through the keys, basically down to the trackpad. Anyone else have this happen?

I'm pretty irate cos you don't expect this from a machine in this price range.

Sounds like the battery has swollen and is failing. I would contact HP Support Directly for a warranty issue and have them fix it.

You didn't tell us the specific model number so you limited my ability to get information.

You can use this link below... Choose the country you are in (assuming its sold in that country also) and follow the prompts.

OK thanks. For your security, you should edit your last post and remove the image you posted as it contains your serial number.

Did you buy this brand new or used? The warranty info shows it was activated on Aug 29th 2018 and expired Sept 26th 2019.  If so, you are out of warranty. If you want to dispute this, I can ask the mods to step in and have someone communicate with you.  Let me know.

Otherwise, you would have to take the laptop apart yourself and replace the battery. HP does not sell those batteries, so you would have to find a 3rd party seller in your country.

@Photoray002, It was bought new on 28 June 2019, so  am not sure where the activation info of 2018 is from.

My concern is not the failing battery (if that is the problem), byt more the damage to the chassis, as since i bought it, it has been four months.

OK then, Ill have your post escalated.

Good luck.
