HP Omen i5
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When played out loud, the top volume is still very quiet.  I've tried following other hp solutions to this problem which say to go into playback devices >> properties >> enhance, but I have no enhance option.

I've tried testing the volume in the Advanced tab and that was loud, so I can't figure out why when watching videos in a variety of browsers the volume is so low.

Hi @jemmakate123

Welcome to the HP Forums!

It is a great way to engage, post questions and find resolutions by working with specialists in the HP community.

I reviewed your post and I understand that the volume is low when you are watching online videos.

I’d love to help!

I would like to know whether the volume is fine when you play a video or music file saved on your computer? If yes, then I recommend you to update the browser and the flash player on your computer and check if it resolves the problem.

You can download and install the latest flash player from the below link.

Here is how you can update the browser. (Below steps are for chrome browser)

  1. Open the Google Chrome browser.
  2. Click the Customize and control Google Chrome button in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
  3. From the drop-down menu that appears, select Help, then select About Google Chrome.
  4. The window that appears will automatically check for updates and show you the current version of Chrome. If an update is available, there will be an option to install the update.

In case you are having sound issues even with the music files and videos saved on your computer. Then I recommend you to uninstall the audio driver and reinstall it from device manager.

Let me know how it goes and you have a good day ahead.

To simply say thanks, please click the "Thumbs Up" button to give me a Kudos to appreciate my efforts to help. If this helps, please mark this as “Accepted Solution” as it will help several others with the same issue to get it resolved without hassles.

Take care!

Cheers!
