HP Recommended

This happens often with updates but I need my computer to be off the charger to use it next week. My omen will not charge since the last update. Microsoft looked at it for 2 hours then said it was an HP issue. I called HP and was on hold/call for an hour, then disconnected. How do I get the computer to charge? It is NOT the power supply or the battery, it is the known issue with omen and charging after updates.
