Product: Victus by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-r0000 (9J119AV)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

For a project in school I had to download a virtual machine which needed a lot of virtual memory, it needed around 14.5gb of ram but when i open taskmanager it  says that 2.3gb of my 16gb is reserved for hardware. My friends who also have 16gb of ram but a different computer don't have this issue. Is there a safe fix?

Hi @Pliqzy 

 

There is no solution. If Windows detects that the hardware needs to reserve memory to function, that memory cannot be recovered. If you wish, you can increase the memory to 32 GB.
