Solved!

Only 5.9GB RAM Available out of 8

HP pavillion Gaming laptop
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi I recently bought an HP Pavillion gaming laptop. Upon using it I found out that I could only use 5.9GB RAM out of 8GB.

About 2.1GB Ram is claimed by windows as hardware reserved

Based on the tasks that I do , for me every gigabyte of RAM is important

Can anyone tell me how to reclaim the hardware reserved memory ???

Sorry no. Please try to update BIOS (if available) for your machine.

That is a known issue which is related to AMD processors. Please check the following article:.

And from Microsoft PlayReady.
