I can’t manage to open the casing of my HP Gaming Pavilion-15-cx0007nl laptop. I managed to remove the 7 screws and I checked under the stickers and there’s nothing there. I also tried to pry the casing a bit with a screwdriver, but it doesn’t open at all.

According to the HP service teardown video for the model series, there are only 7 screws you have to remove.

It appears that you need to move around the base enclosure starting at the center rear of the bottom cover with a pry tool to separate it from the rest of the casing.

Thank you for your reply. I tried following the video, but once I unscrewed the screws, I still couldn’t open the casing. Maybe it’s because I’m using a screwdriver? However, in other videos I’ve seen, they manage to do it anyway.

You're very welcome.

It might be time for you to take the PC in to your local PC repair shop and see if they can remove the bottom cover for you without breaking it.
