Could you please share what was done to fix this issue?  My Spectre 360 just recently started overheating immediately after booting by the speakers.  The speakers also don't work properly anymore as the left one is extremely weak when set to the same level as the speaker on the right.  I have a cooling pad, but the speaker area in the middle of the computer is STILL hot to the touch with the fans running full blast.  Without the heating pad, that area can, and has, burnt me and will freeze the computer in a matter of seconds.

I haven't made any changes to the computer or software recently but need a fix as this is my main computer and should last me a lot longer than it has, given what I paid for it.

It was a combination I think.

I blew air through every vent.

But I think what the main bit was going to the hp website and finding that the F26 (  Edited from f4 as that was on my linux box) bios was available so I up graded that.

Made sure drivers were correct and now use an old IKEA laptop stand that I drilled a lot of round holes in with one of those cylindrical saws for drills.

In the early days that I had it it had a tendency to lose camera or sound/ mic with  Microsoft updates.

These were sorted by removing the drivers and letting the laptop find and re-install.

Hope this helps

I see that this is a gaming thread... Idid see a report somewhere a while back that if you are on power and doing intense video stuff the machine will operate at full wack and get hot.

If you drop onto just battery then the machine operates at a lower power and stays cooler

That being said - since the bios update and cleanout the fan doesn't  seem to trigger as often as the spectre runs cooler
