When I bought the laptop and played some games everything was fine until the game pass ended and I left Forza 5 for three months and I plan to buy the game I bought the game pass and downloaded the game but the graphics card is not using its actual power I see that it uses 40 watts instead of 90 watts and this affects the performance in the game I get only 30 FPS and there are a lot of drops. In comparison when I play Grand Online it draws more than 70 watts on the highest settings and this is illogical. Is the problem with the game or with the updates? There is a glass neck. In addition, when I play Minecraft with shader and nice things, it spends 90+ watts and the experience is satisfactory. Why is Forza so bad in this scenario?

Hi @Maher9392 ,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be glad to help you!
I'm sorry to hear that Forza isn't performing as expected—especially since it sounds like you were initially able to enjoy it with smoother gameplay. Let's try to get to the bottom of this so you can get back to playing without those FPS drops.
- Have you noticed similar power limitations or performance issues with other new or recently reinstalled games since the update?
- Are you running Forza with the same settings as before, or have any graphic settings changed?
- Have you recently updated your graphics drivers or system software that could be influencing power allocation?
Let's try these steps.
Update Graphics Drivers: Make sure both NVIDIA and integrated graphics drivers are up-to-date. Newer drivers often include optimizations for recently updated games like Forza.
Check Power Settings in NVIDIA Control Panel: Open the NVIDIA Control Panel, navigate to Manage 3D Settings, and find Forza in the Program Settings tab. Set the Power Management Mode to Maximum Performance, ensuring it uses the full GPU capacity.
Disable Game Mode: In Windows settings, disable Game Mode, as it can sometimes interfere with power distribution in certain games.
Run Forza as Administrator: Right-click on the Forza executable, select Properties, go to the Compatibility tab, and check Run this program as an administrator. This can sometimes override any power limitations set by the system.
Check for Windows Updates and Revert if Needed: Some Windows updates may interfere with power management. If the issue began after a recent update, consider uninstalling it or checking online forums to see if others have reported similar issues with that specific update.
Let’s see if any of these steps help restore Forza's performance!
