Plastic casing around screen coming away

HP Recommended
HP Pavilion Gaming
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

Over the last few days an issue with my laptop has occurred, that i'm hoping someone could advise me on. The plastic surrounding the screen of my HP Pavilion Gaming laptop has become unstuck on the lower mid left of the screen. Specifically, it seems the adhesive which held the plastic to the screen at that place has lost its stickiness, and so the plastic is now bulging outwards. It becomes more pronounce when i open my screen up, and does restick somewhat if pressure is applied.

I'm concerned this could result in more damage in the longterm, and want to try to fix it.  I tried to contact HP, but was unable to get a response via the automated system, so could anyone please advise me on what to do, or how to fix it please?

Thank you.

The same thing happened my Laptop - HP Pavilion - 14-ce3504na  - lower right hand corner as well.

Due to the pandemic I was unable to bring it into the store for repair so I extended my warranty with best2serve in Nov 2020.

Purchased just over a year ago (Jan 2020). The casing has now just cracked my screen.

Best2serve state this isn't a known fault so they will not stand by the repair and require HP to take responsibility for this.

Eventually I found the correct contact for HP support in the UK on Whatsapp - and after 3 hours - with HP stating they can help to there's nothing they can do/ contact Currys/ it's physical damage 'natural occurrence' to hardware issue (which best2serve state they cover) - HP warranty only covers 30days to then offer to collect the laptop to be checked by their service/hardware team.

This is as far as I got in trying to solve this with my laptop due to be collected today.

I hope you have better luck with getting yours fixed!
