Since the last update from HP, I have a pop up that will not close and cannot be moved.  It is an OMEN Gaming Hub pop-up.  How do I get this thing off my screen?

Hi @Hal94, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
You can try the following steps to remove the OMEN Gaming Hub pop-up:

Method 1: Close the App via Task Manager

  1. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
  2. Find OMEN Gaming Hub in the list of running apps.
  3. Right-click it and select End Task.

If the pop-up disappears but returns after a restart, try disabling it from startup.

Method 2: Disable OMEN Gaming Hub at Startup

  1. Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc).
  2. Go to the Startup tab.
  3. Look for OMEN Gaming Hub.
  4. Right-click it and select Disable.
  5. Restart your PC.

Method 3: Reinstall OMEN Gaming Hub

If the issue persists, try reinstalling the app:

  1. Press Win + R, type appwiz.cpl, and press Enter.
  2. Find OMEN Gaming Hub, right-click it, and select Uninstall.
  3. Restart your PC.
  4. Download the latest version from the Microsoft Store or HP’s website.
  5. Install it and check if the pop-up issue is resolved.

Method 4: Disable OMEN Gaming Hub Overlay (If Applicable)

If this is an overlay issue:

  1. Open OMEN Gaming Hub.
  2. Navigate to Settings.
  3. Look for any overlay settings and disable them.

Method 5: Check for Background Services

  1. Press Win + R, type msconfig, and press Enter.
  2. Go to the Services tab.
  3. Check Hide all Microsoft services.
  4. Look for any OMEN Gaming Hub services and uncheck them.
  5. Click Apply and OK, then restart your PC.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
