so basically i got my laptop this month in march, and after like 3 days i noticed the charger was plugged in with the switch on but the laptop wasnt charging so i checked what was wrong and it turns out that the power adapter is really lose and easily falls off if i grab it upside down, it is causing charging problems. sometimes im rendering a video and it stops charging on it's own and when i come back, my laptop is powered off because of low battery.

@Rohan105, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your Power Adapter!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If you're experiencing problems with the power adapter being loose on your OMEN by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop, this can cause issues with charging. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and possibly resolve the issue:
Check the Physical Connection
Inspect the Adapter:
- Ensure the adapter is securely connected to both the laptop and the power outlet.
- Check if the adapter plug is damaged or if there's any debris in the port.
Firm Connection:
- Confirm that the adapter fits firmly into the charging port of the laptop. It should not wiggle excessively. If it does, this might be indicative of a hardware issue.
Update Software and Drivers
Update BIOS:
- Sometimes, updating the BIOS can resolve charging issues. You can find the BIOS update on the HP Support site.
Check for Driver Updates:
- Ensure that your system drivers are up-to-date, specifically the chipset and power drivers.
Perform a Battery Reset
Battery Health Check:
- Perform a battery check using HP’s built-in diagnostic tools to determine if the battery’s health is compromised.
Battery Reset:
- Sometimes resetting the battery can help. You can do this by shutting down the laptop, unplugging the power adapter, and holding down the power button for about 15 seconds.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
