HP OMEN 15 en0008na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought it like 5 days ago but when i play games (while charging %100 battery) battery level goes down. Battlefield 4 3 hours of playing goes %100 to %82. Valorant 2 hours of playing goes %100 to %92

Is that normal ? Can i change this like Get the power from the socket?

Does your machine have 200 W Smart AC power adapter ?

  • If Yes, looks like it does not supply enough wattage for your machine, could be faulty,
  • If No, you've got a wrong charger.

Regards.

I'm having the same issue with my 15-en1507na gaming laptop. Had my laptop for less than a week and when I'm gaming the battery level goes down even when plugged in, as soon as I close my game the power starts to go up again.

I'm using the power adapter that was supplied with the laptop but lose 30/40% over 2-3 hours when playing Call Of Duty.

I have turned all background processes off and changed the battery power mode to be best for battery life but nothing seems to work.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Probably i found a solution about it.

Firstly i decided to close Adaptive Battery Optimizer (which is in BIOS) then i've done a battery calibration.

That's the official link of the HP about Battery Calibration.

And i guess HP Original charging adaptor can't give the watt that Laptop needs. Changing Profiles (Which is on HP Omen Gaming Hub) can solve it but degrees gonna be high. I think it's normal when the CPU and GPU goes hard situations.

I can't say it's not draining but it is more less now.

I hope you will fix it too.

Have a good day.
