Does your laptop battery charge only when the laptop is turned off? Click here to view the solution
HP Recommended

I have a hp omen 15-ce019dx. It shut off after a power surge happened when the ac unit had a blower motor blow.

Was plugged into a surge protector, but it failed.

Laptop turned back on fine (I let It sit for a while). Later I noticed it did not seem to be charging up while in use.

I would turn it off, plug it in, and get the white light that told me it was getting power.

Then the next day it has refused to turn on at all.  When I plug in the ac adapter I get a orange light at the ac Jack for 1 second then nothing.

I have removed the battery, and held down the power button to discharge any residual power. Still nothing.

Help please.
