Hi! I've found a problem during the data transfert from a HDD to my pc. It's strange because when I connect the HDD to the usb port I can see the files but when I try to copy some of them it doesn't work. It happens only with the two usb port 3.0 on the left side, instead it works with the usb charger plus on the right side. I want to know if it's a technical diffect or whatelse. Thank tou all.

Hi,

First try updating all your drivers, BIOS and OS and see if the problem persists. Check in device manager if there are any driver problems.

You can then perform HP hardware diagnostics on the PC. Look under heading

Running component test > Opening the Component Tests menu when Windows won't start > USB Port Test

It could be a problem with the connection to USB board or the USB board itself, the ports on the left are on a board connected to moterboard. (page 56 of service manual)
