Hello,

i have problems to downgrade my Bios from F.40 to F.25

by using a USB Recovery Stick, made by the BIOS Update Setup from the downloaded BIOS file from HP homepage.

First i used the Win - B - Powerbutton method . My computer start the Bios Recovery, but it didnt use the USB drive for it, instead some another source was used. After the end of the recovery, i have still F.40 and it works completly without the USB stick in the same way.

Then i tried to press F9 and boot direktly from this recovery USB with an EFI. But imediatly the error "BIOS recovery failed" occured.

Simple setup from the file in windows didnt work too, "your bios is older than than the installed".

What can i do?

Where is the problem?

Hoping for ideas.
