HP pavilion 15 gaming cx-0660ng
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So I've bought a HP Pavilion gaming laptop with:

I5 8300h

Gtx 1050

8gb RAM

I want to upgrade to 16gb of RAM, but it says only 8gb of RAM is supported. I find this weird, because other versions of the notebook do have 16gb of RAM. Also my laptop has two RAM slots each with 4gb in it. And I think the other versions of the laptop have the same motherboard. So what's the problem and can I upgrade my RAM to 16gb?

Hi:

The service manual indicates your notebook can support 2 x 8 GB of memory.

See chapter 1, bottom of page 1.
