Hi I have been avoiding windows updates due to previous issues on a different laptop and last night it automatically updated me to 1903.

Since then my RTX 2070 card is not being detected, drivers refusing to install and I don't know what to do!

Everything was working perfectly before the update.

Device manager doesn't show the card, I tried to show hidden no display adpaters showing, I try reinstall driver from Nvidia site and tells me it's not compatible with this version of windows and I need an Nvidia GPU installed?

I got this laptop just over 1 month ago, no issues until this update happened.

Can anyone please give advice on how I can get my GPU detected again and working correctly 😞

I've tried to uninstall the driver/card and reinstall, nothing happened, tried rollback and uninstall the 1903 update but that didn't work either and not sure what to do now... I'm assuming 1903 added some options that I need to change maybe to reenable the RTX GPU?

Anyone got any ideas?

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

The last thing I can suggest trying is a restore back to the factory. Performing an HP system recovery (Windows ) While doing the recovery there is an option to backup your personal files. If you have not previously done one now is a good time.

Restoring Files that were Backed Up Using HP Recovery Manager (Windows )

The HP Cloud Recovery Tool allows you to download recovery software to a USB drive. You can use the downloaded recovery image file in order to install the Windows operating system.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
