Ram CAS Latency and SSD screws
11-06-2019 08:05 AM
Hello,
I have two questions regarding the laptop. And I hope you guys can help me:
1. What is the CAS Latency of the DDR 4 ram stick installed by the manufacturer. I want to upgrade it and run it in dual channel. The one installed is a DDR4-2666 mhz 8 GB stick.
2. Does the laptop come with the necessary screws to mount a SSD in the M2 port ?
I don't own the laptop right now, it's on my online shopping cart.
Thank you in advance.

Ram CAS Latency and SSD screws

Hello @freestyle18
Ill try to helps as best I can...
1. We have no way of knowing the timings of the actual ram installed. You would have to use a tool like CPUz to look those up, one you have possession of the laptop.
2. M.2 only uses one screw. If the laptop did not come with an M.2 drive installed but the port is there, the screw might not be there. Only way to know is again, open the case and look.
In fact, sometimes if the specific unit doesn't come with an M.2 drive installed from factory, the actual port might not even be soldered into the board. Only way to know is to open the case and look.
