Hi all, my Victus 16-r1280TX can support highest 32gb ddr5- 5600. I have upgraded just now 2 16gb ddr5-5600 but in task manager show that only have 4800MT/s. How can I do for this?

Hi @Hong2109

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Great upgrade move! What you're seeing is actually quite common—your RAM is running at the default JEDEC speed of 4800MT/s, which most systems use unless you manually enable the higher performance profile.

Here’s how to unlock the full 5600MT/s speed:

Check BIOS Settings: Often, the system BIOS may need to be configured to support the full speed of the memory. Restart your computer and press the appropriate key to enter the BIOS (usually F10 or Del). In the BIOS settings, look for memory configuration or XMP profile options and ensure the memory is set to the correct profile that supports 5600MT/s.

Enable XMP/DOCP Profiles: Many systems come with support for Extreme Memory Profile (XMP) or Direct Overclock Profile (DOCP) that can be enabled in the BIOS for optimal performance. Finding and enabling this setting might resolve the speed discrepancy.

Check Compatibility: Verify that both the memory sticks are compatible and installed correctly in the appropriate slots that support the highest speeds on your motherboard. Sometimes the physical arrangement can affect performance.

Motherboard Limitations: It's possible that your motherboard might have limitations on which slots or configurations support higher speeds. Check the user manual for any particulars on memory placements.

Update BIOS: Ensure the BIOS version is up-to-date, as updates can include improvements for memory compatibility and speed settings.

These steps typically help in enabling the full speed of the memory modules installed in your system.
