Hello,

I have a OMEN Laptop - 15-en0013dx. Whenever I use my laptop,  after some time, it will crash. It will either all turn off and restart on its own, or it will freeze up and become unresponsive. I've tried figuring out what the issue may be, but I've had no luck. Whenever I looked in the system event viewer, it always says "Kernel-Power" Event ID: 41, and Task Category: 63. I've scoured the internet for possible solutions to this, trying many different things, like changing my power plan, removing sleep mode, removing duplicate drivers, playing around with my GPU's (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti) settings, and more, but to no avail. Recently when I went on vacation with solely my laptop without my extra 2 monitors that I usually have alongside my laptop, I noticed that I didn't have a single crash. I tried looking into this, changing some more settings with my monitors and reinstalling my drivers for my GPU, but still no solution. I've even had to reinstall Windows numerous times before in the past, and the problem still persisted. If anyone can provide some insight on this issue, I would greatly appreciate it. Hi @Ub6424,

I ran the Extensive Hardware Test, which passed everything but the battery which was simply at Ok. I unplugged the battery and checked to see how my system would run without it being plugged in and everything seemed fine with my laptop and the battery as well. Let me check your current system configuration before we go deeper into the random crash problem.

 

(1) Run    msinfo32

- Select <System Summary>:

--->>> Copy/paste following key/value pairs:

 

OS Name

Version

System Model

System SKU ( equals HP product number (p/n) )

Processor

BIOS Version/Date

 

(2) Start Windows <device manager>

- Expand <Disk drives>

- Expand <Display adapters>

- Expand <Network adapters>

- Expand <Sound, video and game controllers>

(3Let BIOS be installed until it's completely done !

 

(4) If your system still crashes

- Please reinstall operating system !
