is this recall still available? Mine came with the 120w as well and have in fact been experiencing major fps issues

Got ya.  You may want to look into buying a third party power adapter yourself.

It uses the 150 W PFC, Smart, slim, 4.5 mm 19.5v  power adapter - part number: 776620-001

HP does sell them in the United States, but might not be available in other countries.

You could search on online, it will works as long as its 19.5 volt and uses the 4.5mm barrel connector. If the wattage is higher than 150w, it will be OK to use also. You just don't want the voltage to be different.

@artichokuyou are responding to an old thread about a model that came out 3 1/2 years ago.

Please post what your model number is. If its from the w0xx series, yes you are about 2 years too late.

I saw the dates and figured I was way too late, but I just got the thing and went to play GTA and was hitting the crazy lag, then turns out alot of people were having the issue. the Model is the 17-w033dx

Hey thank you very much for the info. I'm gonna get one ordered and I'll pop in and let everyone know if my issue was in fact this old problem that I never knew existed, lol.
