I'm having the same issue. (Omen 17). First after disabling the Realtek audio it appeared to be fine, however closed down and now the problem has resurfaced. Now I've disabled all non windows services via msconfig and once again the system is working fine, which leads to to believe there maybe an incompatible driver or something. I am however going to run the HP diag software first.

Hello @Dogsoldier359

I read your other post.  Its best to run the diagnostics from UEFI, not from in Windows if at all possible.

Your model should qualify.

With the laptop off, press the power button and immediately and rapidly tap the F2 key until the diagnostics UEFI menu appears. In other words, don't boot into Windows.

Go to Component Tests and run the extensive hard drive test again.
