I'm guessing your post was moved so I don't know exactly which thread you were commenting on.

Here in a fix that has helped some, and a few it didnt. Worth a try.

Uninstall what ever version of the command center (OCC) you have currently.

Reboot the PC.

Then reinstall again with this link..  Get OMEN Command Center - Microsoft Store

Then install this utility...  Get HP System Event Utility - Microsoft Store

Then reinstall the OCC SDK package... sp98588.exe

Now go to Windows updates and force it to search for updates: If it has updates pending, let them install. Then reboot and go back again and click the Search for Updates button, even if it shows its up to date. If it installs more updates, reboot and do it again. Keep doing this until it doesn't find anymore. Windows updates will not always find what it needs the first time around, this is why you have to force it to search a few times.

Try the OCC again.

IF it does not work, go to the OCC start icon in the Windows Start menu and run it as Administrator.

Does this work?

hi -
yeah looks like it got moved,

but;
i suppose my issue im running into is:

I uninstalled ~~ a week ago, as it wasnt working correctly - in an attempt to fix it via reinstall and it wont re-install via the windows store.

i've tried re-installing the OCC SDK package a couple times, no luck.

OK, Im guessing you're having issues with the Windows Store. Sometimes a Windows Store reset solves that problem.

I found this on Windows Report website that shows how to reset it. Might work, might not but worth a try.

If this does not work, you have something in Windows that really went wonky. The only other fix I would know to get it working again quickly is to reinstall Windows.

Error code 0x80073D05

Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Run the Windows Store Troubleshooter from the Settings.
  2. Run WSReset.exe.
  3. Open PowerShell (Admin), paste the following command, and press Enter: Get-Appxpackage –Allusers

After that, find Microsoft.Windowsstore, and copy PackageFullName (ctrl + c).
Now, execute the following command: Add-AppxPackage -register “C:Program FilesWindowsApps<PackageFullName>” –DisableDevelopmentMode (NOTE: Remember to replace <PackageFullName> with the actual PackageFullName, you just copied.

Hi I have the exact same issue and can't find any solution.

Unfortunately the OP never came back and let me know if the solution worked or was over his head.

You didnt mention if you tried the first and second solutions I posted? Reinstalling the OCC as I shown or trying to reset the Windows store?

If you did and it still does not work, can you see if reverting back to a restore point helps?

System Restore Points

Otherwise, if you can access the Feedback link on the Omen Command Center, click on it and follow the prompts. Its the fasted way to send info about the problem to the OCC team.

Thanks.

yes sorry, in fact I tried your both solution and it didn't work.

I found the microsoft fullnamepackage and copied it as you proposed.

OCC never reinstall with any solution and regarding the reset of Windows Store, when I try I get the answer that it cannot be found because it doesn't exist. I copy it here, it's in french sorry. I don't think that there was a mistake in the command :

PS C:\WINDOWS\system32> Add-AppxPackage -register "C:Program FilesWindowsAppsMicrosoft.WindowsStore_11910.1001.5.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe" -DisableDevelopmentMode
Add-AppxPackage : Impossible de trouver le chemin d'accès «C:\WINDOWS\system32\Program
FilesWindowsAppsMicrosoft.WindowsStore_11910.1001.5.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe», car il n'existe pas.
Au caractère Ligne:1 : 1
+ Add-AppxPackage -register "C:Program FilesWindowsAppsMicrosoft.Window ...
+ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
+ CategoryInfo : ObjectNotFound: (C:\WINDOWS\syst...__8wekyb3d8bbwe:String) [Add-AppxPackage], ItemNotFou
ndException
+ FullyQualifiedErrorId : PathNotFound,Microsoft.Windows.Appx.PackageManager.Commands.AddAppxPackageCommand

Honestly, I am trying all possibilities before reinstalling...

thanks for your help anyway 🙂

OK thanks. There is the simpler way to reset the Store, perhaps that might work?

If the OCC is now installed, I would uninstall it. Then try the simple method here....

https://winaero.com/blog/reset-windows-store-windows-10/

Then do those steps I outlined earlier for the command center again. Im thinking the key here is the Windows Store (i could be wrong). Judging by the fact its giving you an error with the power-shell method has me suspicious.

Go to Windows Services and make sure HP Omen HSA Service is set to Running - Automatic.

Also, you don't happen to have a third party Firewall by chance? Wondering if its blocking the OCC functionality?

IF that does not work, I am at a loss. If you really need it working, a clean reinstall of windows might be the faster way around. But its also aggravating if you have lots of other stuff you installed.

On a side note: In the future when you get it working again, I always recommend if you are one who has lots of programs or games you install, keep an image backup of Windows onto another drive. That way, if something goes south again, you can reload a working image of Windows with all your stuff included. So much faster. I use Aomei Backupper and its never given me a problem.

Just a thought. (To do that, you need an external HDD and a small USB Pen drive).

It worked thanks !!

I used this link that you gave me https://winaero.com/blog/reset-windows-store-windows-10/

I applied the two solutions in a row then restarted windows.

On the store, OCC in full was downloaded (approx. 256mb) instead of an update before. It launched properly, just had to login again.

Thanks again for your help and support !

If it has updates pending, let them install. Then reboot and go back again and click the Search for Updates button, even if it shows its up to date. If it installs more updates, reboot and do it again. Keep doing this until it doesn't find anymore. Windows updates will not always find what it needs the first time around, this is why you have to force it to search a few times.
