I am having the same problem here. I don't have any personal files on the C drive and I try to download most of my programs in the D drive. But still, the disk space of the C drive doesn't seem to be enough. Is there anyway to increase the disk space of the C drive?

Yes its possible to do that, and yes it will make the system run slower. Loading times and boot times will slow quite a bit.

But if you need to save the money, its a trade off.

Hello @Roaa94

I assume you have a 128 GB SSD for the C drive and 1TB hard drive for D, is that correct?

Its possible to gain a little space by removing the HP recovery partition from the drive. You should make your HP USB recovery drive before doing this, for safety.

But you would most likely be better off replacing the drive with a larger one.

Let me know if you need further help.

Thank you for your response.

Yes I have a 128 GB SSD for the C drive but with 2 TB dor hard drives D and E.

Actually I need more space than the HP recovery partition can give me.  I can replace the drive with a larger one as you suggested. However, this solution might take more time and cost than I can afford.

My question is then, can I migrate my boot and OS drive to an HDD? For example, instead of my hard drive E being about 750 GB, it would be the new system drive C and I would use the 128 GB SSD for storage. If it's possible, would this make my computer slower?

Thank you.
