Victus by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-s0000 (76T56AV)

I purchased a Victus by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-s0000 (76T56AV) from amazon in the month of September 2024. Today it's 25th may 2025 and it says the product warranty expired on 12th April , 5 months before it should expire. I also have a issue where the screen and the power button randomly blink and the screen becomes unresponsive and goes completely dark after a few seconds, Pressing any buttons does not help with the issue.

Try these steps:

Analyze Environment

  1. Check all cables and connections to ensure they are secure.
  2. Confirm power sources are good by testing with a verified working power source and examining any possible electromagnetic interference (EMI) sources.

Perform a Hard Reset

  1. Turn off the laptop completely and remove all external peripherals.
  2. Unplug the AC adapter and press and hold the power button for at least 15 seconds.
  3. Plug the AC adapter back into the laptop and turn it on.

Perform a Soft Reset

  1. Restart your laptop and press F10 to enter the BIOS.
  2. Restore BIOS settings to default by navigating to Main > Restore defaults.

Use HP Diagnostics Tool For in-depth hardware diagnostics:

  1. Turn on or restart the computer, quickly press the esc button, and then press F2.
  2. Run the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI) tests to determine hardware functionality and identify potential issues.

HP Support Assistant Make sure HP Support Assistant is installed and updated:

  1. Use it to check for updates, messages, and troubleshoot the laptop's issues.
  2. For detailed instructions on using HP Support Assistant, refer to HP How To For You, Episode 5 – Using HP Support Assistant.
