OMEN by HP 17-cb0020ng
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

my OMEN by HP 17-cb0020ng has one SSD and one HDD. The HDD only has 2 TB of storage space. I need more.

1. Will I lose the warranty if I replace the HDD by myself? I am IT specialist in Germany.

2. Can you recommend a HDD? I need at least 4 TB.

Thank you.

The specs of your machine is

          https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06396147

It has a very goo specs for storage

  • Two 512 GB PCIe® NVMe™ TLC M.2 SSD with Raid 0 configured
  • 2 TB 5400 rpm SATA

In theory you can use 4TB but 4TB HDD's are thicker and they won't physically fit. You can use HDD with 7.2mm thick (max).

Regards.
