Hello!

I'm brand new to this community and I checked if this has been answered but apparently it is not.

I bought a brand new HP Omen 15(2020) with the 60Hz Screen and I want to replace it with a higher refresh screen since my other monitors are like that, and coming back to 60Hz has been a painful experience.

Looking through the Maintenance Guide I found this:

FHD, 250 nits, 3.2 mm L99597-001 <--This one is already installed
FHD, 300 nits, 2.6 mm L99598-001
FHD, 144 Hz, 2.6 mm L99600-001 <--I want this one but it's 2.6mm? what does that mean?
FHD, 300 Hz, 2.6 mm L99601-001
FHD, 144 Hz, flat, 3.2 mm M12468-001<-- this one I could try but it says "Flat", What's that?
UHD, 120 Hz, 2.6 mm L99602-001

And finally, I need:

For use with UHD 120 HZ/144 Hz displays L98732-001 <-- this is a must for 40 pin screens

TLDR;

-Can I buy a 2.6mm screen if the one I have is 3.2mm?

-What does the "Flat" mean on M12468-001?

I have more questions but am not sure if it's necessary since those are the very main ones 🙂

Also very big thank you for the Youtube disassembly video, it's incredible you guys did.

Thanks!

@alomex

Its specs

       https://support.hp.com/py-es/document/c06709031

It uses screen part # L99597-001 as shown on its parts list

      https://partsurfer.hp.com/Search.aspx?searchText=15F21LA

Unfortunately HP does not stock part, you have to use part # to search elsewhere including eBay. I saw on it on few places for around $85 to  $136. HP won't allow me to post those links, please use Google to search for HP L99597-001 yourself.

Regards.

Hi @Banhien, Thanks for the reply. 🙂

Unfortunately,  and maybe I should've known, my questions are still up and I hope if somebody from HP knows about what I asked to just for the people in the future don't make any mistakes replacing their own displays.
