Product: OMEN Laptop - 17t-cb100 IDS Base Model

Hello Folks. My HD crashed and I had to replace it. I used the windows 10 recovery. Now I am missing apps that I need such as the MMC and bitlocker. I don't believe this version of windows is what came on my Omen when I purchased it. How can I get the original install of windows back from HP? Thank you!

Hi:

 

The notebook may be supported by the HP cloud recovery tool which you can use to create a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall Windows, the drivers and the software that originally came with your notebook.

 

Here is an info link for how to use the utility.  You will need a 32 GB USB flash drive for this.
