Hi @Mkva

No, only M.2 SATA3, see service manual.

The manual shows support up to 256gb, so i can't add a 1tb or 512gb m.2?

HP Recommended

Yes can,  the manual refer to the size of the disks that are marketed, you can put 1 TB, 2 Tb or more.

Tysm for ur help 🙂

Last question, the sata 3 has 2 keys i think you call it?, them 2 bits that go inwards at the golden plating. But my m.2 slot only has a single key as seen in the pictures. Does this mean anything?

That is normal, the M.2 slots only have 1, when you put an M.2 SATA disk, one pin is out of contact, but NVME and SATA use the same slot, the difference is in the chip and the processor if it supports an M.2 NVME or M.2 SATA disk.

Oh okay so i can only use sata III and not pcie or anything? 😞

The speed differences between sata III and nvme are so large tho its kinda sad if i can't use them

HP Recommended

Unfortunately the laptop does not have the necessary processor to be able to use NVMe. But there is a lot of speed difference between a M.2 SATA and a HDD disk.
