OMEN 15-en0002la
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I am planning to buy HP Omen 15 2020 en0002la (10G91LA).

Its specs are:

  • Windows 10 Home 64
  • AMD Ryzen 7 4800H
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060
  • 16Gb DDR4 3200 (2x8gb)
  • SSD 512Gb PCIe NVMe TLC M.2

I have looked the Product description, but I want to make sure I understood:

  1. Can I upgrade its 512Gb SSD to a 1tb SSD?
  2. What kind of SSD can I install? I mean, if a 2280 gen3x4 (generation 3, 4 lanes), like the WD sn750 may work well or what.
  3. Does it has another slot for SSD or HDD?
If it does, then, what capacity supports?
  4. The product description says that the ram can be upgraded to 32Gb but the "Supports the following configurations:" only has 8x2, 8+4, 8 and 4x2 combinations, can I upgrade it to 16x2 and keep them working at 3200? (I read someone saying that after doing that it got down 2666 MHz).

Thanks in advance.

1. Yes, you can replace 512GB to 1TB or 2TB using M.2 NVMe SSD such as (or other NVMe on market)

        https://www.samsung.com/au/memory-storage/nvme-ssd/970-pro-nvme-m-2-ssd-1tb-mz-v7p1t0bw/

but it is much better to keep the existing one and add 1TB or 2 TB using (or other NVMe on market)

        https://www.samsung.com/au/memory-storage/nvme-ssd/970-pro-nvme-m-2-ssd-1tb-mz-v7p1t0bw/

2. Yes, you can upgrade to 32GB (2 x 16GB) using
