That is a 64 million dollars question. Warranty is a grey/gray area very hard to say in concrete. For new generation machines adding something is a work for Authorized Service Provider parts . For your machine, you can add yourself but If something went wrong due to this upgrade, HP woulds ee this case-by-case basis. No one can tell.
