HP Omen 17" w047nr
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

While going on my laptop, the screen will occasionally go black, sometimes making a weird buzzing noise too. It happens randomly, but I noticed that watching YouTube videos does trigger it. The only thing I can do is turn it off and on again, but I'm looking for a more sustainable solution and I'm also wondering if it could be a driver problem.

This only started yesterday but since then it has happened quite a number of times, and I haven't even owned the laptop for a month. There are 3 accounts on this laptop and I asked my siblings if they experienced similar problems on their accounts but they have not.

Hi @unsuresophia,

Welcome to HP Forums!

I have read your post and wanted to help.

I understand that the screen goes black with a buzzing noise randomly when playing YouTube videos.

It might be the graphics driver issue. Please go to Device Manager and uninstall the graphics driver. Enter your product number here to find the download of your graphics driver. Reinstall the graphics driver.

Let me know if it helps to fix the problem.
